Jamie Fraser showdown: exciting finalists audition!

I thought it would be helpful if people could look at our contenders and imagine them not only looking like Jamie, but speaking his lines.

Here are our finalists (They all have at least one vote in the poll at left. Except Oz.) speaking lines from the book!

Which one of these men make the most convincing Jamie? You decide.

Max Martini:



Tell me if I’m too rough, or tell me to stop altogether if ye wish. Anytime until we are joined; I dinna think I can stop after that.

Seth Green, Oz from Buffy:



Aye, I mean to ride ye hard. Aye, beg me for mercy, Sassenach. Ye shallna have it though, not yet.

Gerard Butler:

While I dinna pretend to know all there is to know, I’ve lived a good bit of my life on a farm, and unless people are verra different from other animals, it isna going to take that long to do what we have to.

James Murray:

I’ve seen horses and cows, of course, pigs, chickens, doves, dogs, cats, red deer, squirrels, rabbits, wild boar, oh, and once even a pair of snakes. Did ye know snakes have two cocks? Male snakes, I mean.





Hayden Christiansen:

I didna realize that ye did it face to face. I thought ye must do it the back way, like; like horses, ye know.







Jensen Ackles:

I’m tired of having to watch ye very minute, for fear of what foolishness you’ll try next. And I’m verra tired of people trying to make me watch while they rape you! I dinna enjoy it a bit!






Russell Crowe:

I dinna know what’s a sadist. I said I would have to punish you. I did not say I wasna going to enjoy it.






Kevin McKidd:

You have my name and my family, my clan, and if necessary, the protection of my body as well. The man willna lay hands on ye again, while I live.




Gerard Butler, Take 2:
