Would you like a can of Pringles?

Personally, I have a highly passionate relationship with Pringles - they call to me, but I hate them because they are delicious yet so nasty and terrible for me! I could easily consume an entire can, given the opportunity.  And then hate myself. And then come back for more!

They are the bounder and rake of snack foods!

Anyway, I didn't know what to think of this news item at first, but now I think it is super cool that he did this!  RIP.

  1. Aw! Rest in peace, Mr. Pringles :-(

I remember when Pringles came out and how the can was so innovative and cool. I do love Pringles. The original flavor is my fave, but I also like the BQ.

  2. Oooh, I bet the BBQ is good. Yum. Now I want some.

  3. I love Pringles. I COULD eat the entire can. But I won't. Because that would be bad. But I COULD.

If my family puts my ashes in a chip tube I will haunt them forever.

  4. They will be woken up at night by the ominous sound of crunching!

  5. Oh this could be a great ghost story.

  6. pringles must have a secret ingredient that makes them so addictive. it's not just clever marketing...really "once you pop, you just can't stop".

i hope the pringles man's can is clearly labelled tho. would suck if someone opened it thinking that the chips were just really crumbly. ewwww!

  7. When I read that I thought that was awesome.
I want to be buried in my favorite PJ's and with my cabbage patch kid.

BTW did anyone ever take 2 pringles and make a mock duck bill and put it in your mouth and quack?

  8. Yes. I did...but I didn't say AFLACK. Because that would be tacky.

  9. LB is my soul mate CJ. NAH NAH!!!
    I love those afleck commercials.

  10. KB & LB; I don't even know those afleck commercials. Is Ben Afleck now a spokesman for Pringles?

I never did the duck thing, either. Maybe I need some Pringles!

Sula: Yeah, let's hope on that labelling.

  11. Cj. I am without words. AFLAC (is there a K on this? I can't remember) you know, Gilbert Godfrey as that duck and it always quacks: AFLAC!

  12. Oh! You know, I don't have TV. Only netflix. So I get sort of left out of stuff.

I think Ben Afleck would be a good spokesperson for Pringles, but not as good as RUSSELL!

  13. I want to do a poll: what's your favorite Russell Look??

    oh mmmm....

  14. OMG CJ YOU CRACK ME UP!!!
Ben Affleck as the Aflac spokesperson would be excellent!
Aflac is an insurance company that uses a duck in their commercials.

  15. Russell Crowe in LA Confidential.

  16. What about Gladiator? Russell sweaty and hungry and a little bit beat up. That's a good look on him.

Or, in that movie with Sharon Stone. Russell sweaty and hungry and a little bit beat up and handcuffed to a post. That's a good look, too.

  17. Oh yes!! The Quick and the Dead with Russ, Leo and Sharon. He was hotter than hot in that one :D
I think he was too buff in Gladiator.

He is all that and a can of Pringles.

  18. Yeah, you're right. A bit buff in Gladiator. I might need to watch LA confidential again. I watched 7 10 to Yuma recently. It was okay, but I don't feel Russell was properly showcased in that one.

    Didn't everyone???

RC in LA Confidential - mmmm. I liked him in A Beautiful Mind too - odd but beautiful!

  20. I have a love/hate relationship with Pringles, as well and that is super cool!

  21. Master and Commander Russell makes me a bit weak kneed. But that may have to do with the title as well...

  22. Heh. Quote of the week, again, cj. You are really the champ.

  23. Tracy, I actually never did that!

LB: thanks for the quotage! What an honor. And you know, I NEVER saw Master and Commander. Any good? Aside from the obvious?

Hey Wendy - love hate on, sister.

  24. You're just so freakin hilarious CJ..you should work in advertising!

You and Teddypig are now, I think, tied..although this one may put you in the lead.

  25. Jay Leno did a joke about the guy being buried in the Pringles can last night. He dumped his can and ashes came out. So not nice though. I think it's cool that he would want to be buried in the can!

  26. A-F-L-A-C...no K (American Family Life Assurance Company). Sorry, I'm an insurance agent. And a nerd.

I love the Pringles story. I think I'd like to be mixed with Strawberry Kool-Aid powder and buried in a pickle jar. Or a Copenhagen tin. Something really tacky.

I love the Loaded Baked Potato Pringles.

  27. I eat Pringles (and doritos!) when I'm writing and pretend there's no calories in them. Too bad my ass doesn't agree :)

Seriously though, if my family buried me in a chip can, there would be payback ;)
