Six Sentence Sunday from my new romantic suspense series:
****
Back in the day they’d joke that if they wanted to know if a guy was dangerously self-destructive in any way, they just needed to see if Angel thought he was hot.
Bad boyfriend radar, they called it.
Because if Angel liked a guy, it meant he was wounded and feral, with a hurricane for a heart. It meant she could love him, but never, ever save him. Which was why she didn’t date men she was attracted to anymore, a policy that made for a shit sex life, but the new and reformed Angel was all about self preservation.
So yeah, this one looked all brainy and together in a kind of Clark Kent way, but Angel knew better; no man fooled her bad boyfriend radar.
