Hi T! So, just check the email follow up comments and this can be our channel unless we have to send files. This is placed under August of last year.

Okay, actually I just figured out how to make a sensible cut to bring it to a more normal 5600. I think I'll send you that.

Joanna Chambers said...

Finally found it!

Cool.

6700 is fine but so is 5600. You have no idea how eager I am to read more.

Giraffe.

Pourquoi?

Carolyn Crane said...

Welcome. Giraffe, well, just because I had the picture. Okay, I'll send you the 6700 version via Lisabea. The last 1000 is pure smut, but it hangs together with the rest, so I'd rather not break it. I can't wait for yours, either!!

Carolyn Crane said...

I sent it via LB. I forgot to say, I made one small change - the fighter that Paul 'orders' is not the one he will fight in the upcoming match, but a different guy. HB pointed out that ordering the one he would fight would be cheating.

Joanna Chambers said...

I'll send you my chap 11 tonight. If you haven't received by tomorrow, let me know.

Carolyn Crane said...

I got your chapter, but there is something I need to change on mine. If LB didn't send it yet.

Joanna Chambers said...

She already sent it but I've not started reading it yet so re-send away

Joanna Chambers said...

I've sent your latest instalment back - let me know if doesn't arrive

Carolyn Crane said...

Got it!

T: I just got the chance to really go through your comments in depth and you are so right about Nat's responsibility and reactions. And getting that more right will make her more likeable. You're right on about the scene where the guys appear, and also, I love your suggestion abotu Shakespeare's house. I may use it, and then have him see a postcard later and think it's his home. It would be poignant.

Oh, on the TIGBFB, I can't wait! I'm good whichever chapter. I might prefer not first or last, but that is the slightest preference, and I'm good for anywhere.

glad comments were useful - and thanks for yours.

I was actually thinking of you for chap 1 cos you're so inventive - but will go for one of 2-7 for you.

Carolyn Crane said...

T: Okay, I just re-read the outline, and actually, I would be happy to do Chapter one - I think it could be fun, and I'm flattered you'd give me that responsibility! I think it was a little bit shyness and a little bit laziness talking there. But if you haven't assigned it, I'll happily do it!!

Joanna Chambers said...

You're the beez kneez CJ. CH1 is yours. I'll email 2moro

Joanna Chambers said...

I've emailed tiscali services twice now and now response....

don't suppose there's any other fix?

Carolyn Crane said...

Well, it's my ISP that is the problem, so switching email addresses won't help, as it's my actual location that is blacklisted. But I suppose this is working. Oh, I just sent a message to the group and yours bounced.

It was: Oh, excellent! Okay, I'll start on my chapter this week. Maybe I'll even plant a little thigh strength if the opportunity arises.

Also, I'm revising to your specs, btw, making Nat much more conscientious about what she's wrought. Working much better!

Hey, I just wrote this to the gang in reply to the last missive:

Wow, Bettie! I'm so glad you're in, and I think that vision is great - you are going to rock at this; I will never fall out of love with my blog header you did. It is frequently the best thing on the page.

And I think it's smart to have Lorelie do the blurb. Also, Tumperkin, I never said this, but the structure feels really strong. I love the little repetition themes (she had no choice but to...) I know there is a real art to creating that.

T - Are you sending something this week? I sent something via LB. Or could it be that you were doing that HP all week? I can see how time-consuming that would be.

Joanna Chambers said...

I sent it yesterday - to the wrong address - you'll hopefully get my email shortly and see the address from my Outlook it went to.

Carolyn Crane said...

Hi! I got your piece.

I considered giving you the revisions, but yo're right, I just want to keep going forward and I had new pages. I suppose it is an important area to have right, though. You know, maybe I'll pull out the key revised pages and send them for next time with a shorter new chapter. Would you recommend that?

Joanna Chambers said...

I think if it's revisions that affect the story in a major way, then yes. So stuff that relates to basic motivation etc. But not stuff that goes to the level of the sentence. I'm kind of wondering if the revisions you did last week impact upon some of this week's bit.

Carolyn Crane said...

Hey! Okay, sent you - via LB- TIGBFB. Doing a bit more work on DP.

Joanna Chambers said...

Aaaaaaarrrgggggghhhhhhhh! I want to read it NOW but I have to wait for LB to forward it!

Carolyn Crane said...

How frustrating! I also sent DP12. Is there anyone else who could forward it?

Joanna Chambers said...

Incidentally, crap Tiscali still haven't responded and I can't face calling and speaking to someone in India.

However, I googled blacklisted IP addresses and found this

http://blog.eukhost.com/webhosting/my-ip-address-is-blacklisted-how-can-it-be-unlisted/

Any help?

Joanna Chambers said...

It's 11.20pm now anyway and I'm nodding off. I'll logon again tomorrow.

'Night.

Carolyn Crane said...

Okay, I'll look into this unblacklisting thing when I get back into town! Goodnight!

Carolyn Crane said...

This new thing sounds great! What a surprise, T. I can't wait to read it.

Carolyn Crane said...

Oops, I really screwed up that list.

Carolyn Crane said...

Hey T!!!

I'm so glad you had a fun night! And I'm glad you stayed with your old job. I worried you would add more stress. Can I also say again, I am now SO excited for BOTH those projects! Have a great rest of the evening.

Warmly,
C

Hey, I just emailed you. Just redundantly emailing through giraffe to check that it gets to you. Will we have to go back to giraffe??? NO!! No offense, giraffe.

Joanna Chambers said...

All is well

But I do like giraffe and I think it would be shame for it to die when it helped us when we needed it.
