Where is my FIX?

Like the pathetic addict I am, I awoke this morning and went right to my computer and to Sarai's blog. GASP! No DIK Heroes Draft round 2.

I began to shake my list. I have a hero to pick, and NOBODY else can have this one. I will not let there be a repeat of yesterday. Where is the post? What is happening?

But then I realized it is ONLY 8:30 a.m. where Sarai lives. She is probably still in bed. Though probably not with Jake Riordan.

I am still barely recovered from the loss of Drifter to Ciara who, if she would read this, might get a glimmering of understanding of why he was rightfully mine. And possibly still will be.

Anyway, I am sure Sarai will have the thing up at some point today. There was no time element discussed.

In the meantime, look what I got yesterday! Lisabea has it, too, and we are hatching PLANS.

UPDATE: Round 2 DIK at Sarai's is over.
ROUND 3 is now in session at Lisabea's.

Jake Riordan is dressed up in leather chaps emasculating some poor twink in a harness somewhere in the bowels of LA whist she sleeps. It's his thing. I love him anyway. Possibly for the wrong reason.

He was supposed to be on my team. I am devastated by the loss.

Woot. Let's PLAY!

Jake Riodan is NOT doing that this morning. He is making a breakfast of bacon and eggs for his Sarai, while she sleeps in. Sarai needs her strength for the coming day.

NO. HE. IDN'T.He's on the street outside the bookstore, glaring at Adrien's window, hand resting on his fire arm, wondering if Snowden is in there showing Adrien a mediocre time. You just know that guy sucks in bed.

oh my god. i need to step away from the computer.

see you at noon.

I have the feeling i will become a sad addict to this series. Only a few pages until I am done with Dead Until Dark and I already bought book 2.

Yeah Jake and I had a NICE LONG SHOWER this morning and then his dumb ass went to sleep. Other than that THanks CJ for passing the reigns on to me you did an excellent job and I hate having to follow in your foot steps considering Bridget won't show up *g*

"Whats that Ethan? You can't imagine living anywhere but Seattle? No, you are quite correct. Seattle is the best city on earth. Did I ever tell you how hot you are? Only twenty-thousand times or so? Yeah, well, you're hot. HAWT. That aw-shucks demeanor is so cute. And your cover is mighty fine, if you know what I mean. What's that? You want to show me something in the desert? A bed? I think that sounds Mighty Fine Darlin'. MIGHTY FINE."

Oh, Ciara, if you only knew how much that HURTS. I wonder who you will be picking in the next round...

Sooooo I have yet to read a m/m romance. Should I start with Adrian English 1, since this Jake Riordan sounds like such a Fiiiiinnnneeee character?

Yeah, yeah, I was evil for not emailing my choice for round 2. I learned my lesson & emailed MK before realizing we weren't doing this again until Monday. *smacks head* But, she should have my choice so I won't hold up the line. :)

This has been so much fun. I know for some people it's just a ridiculous trifle or something to do, but it's shown me that there are a lot of cool people out there who have excellent taste in men (and books) and that it's nice to see a group of people getting together for a common interest. *wipes away a wayward tear* So, thanks for letting me be a part of it.

And now I'm done with that lovely description. It's late & I need to go to bed. *sigh*

ciara~
It's not a romance. The first Adrien English; it's a murder mystery. Jake's great in that book and the thing with any and all of the Adrien books? The writing. And Adrien. (Jake is really hot)

First m/m book? Well, you could either read Dangerous Ground by Josh Lanyon which is wonderful or if you wanted to have your eyes bug out of your head (in the bestest way) read Samantha Kane's wee menage book At Love's Command~m/m/f
holy everlovin' hawtness. I mean OMG. I LOVE THAT BOOK. Phewie. OVEN MITTS required.

I totally feel the same way! This has been so much fun, and don't worry about the hold up. Like, where's the fire? Anyway, we waited way longer for other players than you.

Ciara...oh! I see LB is playing hostess on MY blog answering questions directed at me. Though in fact, she IS the queen of M/M knowledge. I myself have read 3 M/M only if you count 2 Adrien English mysteries. I think the Lanyon book she is recommending is probably an excellent choice. I read Lanyon's "The Hell you Say (Adrien English 1) and that is a mystery with a bit of M/M romance, sort of in the vein of Janet Evanovich, and it is excellent. That is Adrien English 3. I liked it better than 1, and I don't think you have to start with 1. That is the one I'd suggest, but you can't go wrong with Lanyon no matter what. So if you want a real M/M romance, go with her suggestion. I will be reading that eventually myself!

I have not yet read a Samantha Kane book, but I plan to, and I hear only fabulous reports! Sounds like a steamy time!

Carolyn Jean said...

Wait! The Hell you say is Adrien English 3. That is my fave so far.

lisabea said...

It's funny that everyone gets all OCD about reading books in order, but I don't think it's necessary with the Adrien English books. I rec. number 3. It's just phenomenal.

And the new one is coming out in August and I'm beside myself with impatience.

CJ. Hey. You don't me hornin' in, doya?

Carolyn Jean said...

Of course I don't mind! When I saw the question, I was going to direct her to your site anyway. Hey Ciara - you should check out Nose in a book. Where we were yesterday wasting our lives away.

lisabea said...

I know there's a lot of m/m information available at NIAB. It's sort of a thing, right?
heh.

OK so Bridget that was really sweet and I'm glad that you joined us. Even though you wake up at 10:30 am. Not that I'm jealous.

Sarai said...

So I totally noimated you for blogging with a purpose cuz I wovez your site!

Sarai said...

Hey stop making fun of us OCD people who have to read shit in order. It's a disease and I'm proud to say I am a survivor working hard on a cure in the meantime I will snuggle down with Jake and read book 2 which I hear doesn't have him in it very much so I'm sure he's dying to see what Adrien was up to... *sticks tongue out while stroking Jake* nananabooboo LB

I am so jealous, you have the new Charlaine Harris. Pea green in fact. Living at the bottom on the world might be all green and hills and LOTR but it does take FAR too long for books to arrive via the pony express that is our mail service. In fact, it might just be the sea turtle express. Jealous, jealous, jealous.

PS, ta for the host. Good job!

I really like the combination of words and art here. That top piece is particularly lovely.

Carolyn Jean said...

Sarai,
I totally understand the in-order need to read. Totally understand it.

Sarah, Turtle express - LOL. That is TERRIBLE that you get books so late. My heart goes out to you. I've been looking forward to this one so much!

Charles - Thanks so much for the kind words, and welcome!!
