Nancy Drew Week starts August 18th !

Who doesn't love Nancy Drew? (Except maybe those chumps the Hardy Boys, because brilliant Nancy makes them look like bumbling fools!)

Next month, starting August 18th, will be Nancy Drew week here at The THRILLIONTH PAGE, full of mini-recaps and reader reviews of  favorite Nancy Drew adventures, recollections from the books or series, opinions, and more!

Got a favorite Nancy Drew mystery?  Burning insights on Bess, or Ned Nickerson? Does Nancy hold a special place in your life?

Be part of Nancy Drew week! (Details here) You don't have to be a blogger or anything to join in, just a fan. I'll send out details in the upcoming week on the many ways you can participate.

Yay for Nancy Drew!! It's been so long since I've read her, but she's always held a special place in my heart. I devoured her as a child!! I'm going to have to head over to my mom's house and dig through my old stash of books ;)

That's exactly what I'll be doing-heading over the the folks' place, though my nieces may have commandeered my old collection by now. It's been a while for me, too - I don't actually remember the plots but I remember my faves.

I remember the Nancy Drew books, but to be perfectly honest, I don't think I ever read one. I sure remember watching the series, though.

LA: Great! I think it will be fun.

Pidute: Oh, don't feel bad. It will be great just to have you stop by. Also, Nancy Drew might be mostly read on this side of the Atlantic, though I could be wrong on that.

Sarai: You're so funny. Ninja on, sister!

Omg I used to love Nancy Drew!!! Well, and I admit, I loved those chumps the Hardy Boys as well. But you're right, ND always was better than THB!! :) Can't wait for this one. I know my daughter has 1 book on her shelf...I think I'm gonna have to check the local libraries to see if they have any others in stock. :)

Talk about a throwback! :) Oh I adored Nancy Drew--I had so many of these books!

I would love to play CJ but I don't have any of my old books here in the US with me, but I'll still stop by to check out the action! Woohoo!

I heart Nancy. And Bess. And especially George!

Tracy: I'd love to have you in on this. It will be fun and easy. And you already have one of the books in your place!

Kim: Thanks! I can't wait.

Thea: Right, of course, George!

LB: You are such a freak!

Angela: What a fun thing to look forward to!

Sarai! LOL. Ditto!

I shit you not that I mentioned about 2 months ago how I wanted to write hardy boys slash...and then I remember that they were brothers and I threw up...I always think of them as Shawn and Parker!!!

Carolyn Crane said...

I always think of that album of Shawn Cassidy's - 'Under Wraps.' And if you ever went to used record stores, it would always be there, like 100 copies.

Yes, yes, yes I want to participate! I just began to re-collect the series. I started a blog (http://www.benancydrew.blogspot.com) and I hope to design a leadership program of some sort using Nancy Drew as a model. So, yes, count me in! I have only read one of the books, but as soon as I finish The Last Templar, I will start on one of the books I have in my aresenal! Thanks for doing this!

Is it too late? Can I play?

Christine, Yes I'd love to have your 13 year old participate!

Ellen - What fun to have you! You are not too late at all. I actually sort of dropped the ball. I'm going to post a little guide and do emails on this.
